Ohkayyyyyyyy…Mel’s got an awesome tan now! Yeap…tats coz i spent my entire Sunday in the Sun~ yeap, to meet the day! I became a model for 4 aspiring photographers as part of their portfolio along side professional videographer, HuaYi…its was a blast to actually and finally meet the guy himself…i’ve seen some of his works and short videos and wow, im juz honoured~
I woke up the earliest ever (eversince i’ve been jobless)haha, at 10am…and for the 1st time too, i went out without make up…got picked up by the photographers and changed into a crew van so all equipments like tripod stands and god-knows-wat photographers carry around can fit in alongside 6 humans! Yeap…then we headed out for bfast…WITHOUT MY MAKEUP…i had a blank face , and i felt awkward…its like i feel NAKED….haha…imagine Mel : juz-woken up eyes (imagine it a lil’ puffy and dark underneath) , creases on face, pale lips, uneven skin tone ..OMG!!! U-G-L-Y…
Bfast was quick…thank GoD! Then we headed off to do my hair and make-up…i got to see the dress there and put it on….oh my..the dress was of course way longer than little me but the colour was outRageouS! I was loving it~ i got this Oriental Feel and was pretending i was sum chinese princess or Empress where i can juz snap my finger and go…"you, get me a kit-kat" …heheeh, but i wasnt about to torture my crew~ ~ YET!
Hair and make-up done brialliantly and i got to pose for some pics at the studio 1st, got to test the effects of the dress on me with my make up and hair - see if it’s well co-ordinated….and then we headed to out 1st pit stop…
Petrajaya Cat Musuem (on the hill) - as soon as we arrived, i saw about 2-3 brides walkin around the garden of the musuem with cute lil’ flower gals….and a groom.Keke…and they were all lookin pure in WHITE beautiful lacey gowns…
As for me, bein the naughty and cheeky critter, i came down of the crew van with my striking purplish-blue laced gown with red oriental satin top part and guarded with pokey things in my hair like the ones on the olden chinese maidens hair…flashed a cheeky grin …and had 5 body guards walking along side me…Then i felt a lil shy…cos i was in a Malay territory and den this chinese lil maiden comes along, with no flower gal nor a groom, i felt like i was shooting some ChineseNewYear video clip…haha!! Anyways, i climbed stairs, i walked on grass, slippery moss…got attacked by red ants, juz to get a good view of the scenery where there i WORKED IT~ Hey, i tot to my self, this is super fun~ The fun part is to look at the photographer’s pose, they make me smile and laugh, cos they go all out to snap a good pic…like butt-poiting pose, cripply crawly pose, twisted their head till almost 90degrees pose, lots MAN!
Soon, we headed to the dividers of Petrajaya, along side the mosque where the big trees are….and not long, i was posing with leaves, tree trunks, feeling the breeze in my hair and lookin up into the bright sky…while the guys got into action….all i can hear was " Ok,..op, op, hold tat post"…"NIce one"…."one more, one more, "…."Look here, look here"…yeap, from 5 different camera dudes…
Next spot was 7th mile, the Chinese Temple….to get more of tat oriental feel….before tat, our stomachs were croakin already, so we had to get somethin to eat around the 7th mile bazaar…yeap, i went to the coffee shop dressed like a "gung-chu"…all eyes were on me….they muz be thinkin "she muz have escaped from Kota Sentosa (mental institution) "….yeah, so we ate quickly and continued our quest…
LAz pit stop for the day, TAO, Padungan…omg, i love tat place and in my shoes, bein dressed like tat, i was psyched…i felt the spirit of the olden dayz evaporate into my body….and tats where i tink my favorite pics came from, Tao itself…we went upstairs, to the attique…and i look ghastly…and i scared myself silly yeap~so, if a pic can actually give u feelings, it means the pic has been captured well and its not plainly JUZ a pic…it moves a person…it xplains a thousand, well ,for mine maybe roughly a couple of words….
Being with the crew for a whole day, i’ve learnt alot too…i learnt tat its not easy to be a photographer, and alot of endurance and patience takes place, u nid the perfect angle, the weather and sunlight plays a role, that artistic mood takes control and the best part is to always have fun~ I had loads of fun~ Indeed i did~ i got to be a princess for a day….a tanned one but hey, i made new frenz and got to see thru a photographer’s lens straight into their heart….i admire their passion in art…and i understand tat the world of photography is THAT adventurous and interesting~ SALUTES!
P/s: My blog pictures is full so i cant put pics in, but i will post the pictures once i get the chance~ Tune in for more
